Chaos Cup 2012 - Blood Bowl Major

Chaos Cup Update – 2/5/12

We’ve got a location!  The Holiday Inn Express in Palatine is the new home for Chaos Cup 2012. I’ve been in talks with fanatical Blood Bowl coaches from all over the world and hearing about their plans to come to Chicago this September is awesome!  The Rulespack will be posted to this website later this month. And in March will be the information on Pre-Registration. We are going to have a few different levels of Pre-Registration that can will allow you better schwag the earlier you sign up, and also will give you the opportunity to purchase such Chaos Cup 2012 merchandise as custom Nurgle fields, t-shirts, and more! Book your room now at the Holiday Inn Express in Palatine, IL. The special Chaos Cup rate is available from 9/12 – 9/18 so if you want to stay longer and do some Chicago sightseeing, you can!     - Jonny P

Nurgle King

Your decay, right away, at Nurgle King now!  You heard it here first folks… the Chaos Cup 2012(2512) fake(real) sponsor is Nurgle King.  When it comes to food to satisfy the gamer appetite, look no further than disease-ridden hamburgers. Nurgle King is the Home of the Slopper, and now has an expanded menu to include actual chicken fingers,  toes, and necks. If you don’t have time to enjoy the horrific service, take your death roller into the drive thru and grab your order to go. Make sure to pick up a kid’s meal for any little ones, because for a limited time only, each meal comes with a free Nurgling. Yay!

Khorne Flakes

2011 was the first in a new era of the Chaos Cup. While GW and Impact Miniatures were doing their part to help out, the true (pretend) sponsor of Chaos Cup 2011 was the well-known breakfast cereal, Khorne Flakes. Created from a Khornate family recipe, with a pinch of skaven-soul, a dab of yak-scrotum, and a helping of halfling blood, Khorne Flakes not only tastes good, but it’s good for you! Every spoonful you eat brings out a daemonic thirst for blood unlike anything you have ever seen before. Feed your child Khorne Flakes, before it’s too late! Free toy inside! Toy not safe for children under 80.

ChasKhorne

Here we see the first pic of Chaos, pronounced Chas.  Chaos is the official Mascot of the Chaos Cup and part of his deal of working for free, doing special appearances, autographs, etc, was that we would allow him to use the Chaos Cup to try and find his estranged father.  His mother was knocked up by one of the Chaos Gods back in 2486.  She doesn’t remember the details, but since it was bloody, disgusting, sexy, and somewhat birdlike, the jury is still out on which Chaos God is really his father.  This is the official logo of Chaos Cup 2011, featuring the Blood Red color of  sponsor, Khorne Flakes.

Tom and Jervis

Nuffle himself (Jervis Johnson) and the Godfather of Blood Bowl (Tom Anders)! Tom did a great job of running the Chaos Cup over the past 7 years or so, while of course doing just a ‘little’ bit of work rewriting the rules….and now running Impact Miniatures, sponsoring the tournament! I’m thankful Tom trusted me with handling the Chaos Cup going forward and doing whatever it takes to advance it to the next level and really make the rest of the world take notice. Who knows? Maybe Jervis will fly out to a future Chaos Cup to check on things, and make sure the Zlurpee Boys haven’t defiled the trophy too much!
